FAQ

What is kerf? It's the width of material the saw blade turns to dust, usually 1/8" for a table saw or 3/32" for a thin-kerf blade. KerfWise leaves that gap between every cut.

What does grain lock do? It keeps a part's length running along the sheet's 8-foot grain. Use it for visible faces like cabinet sides and doors.

Why is a 2x4 not 2" × 4"? Nominal lumber is milled down to 1½" × 3½". KerfWise uses actual sizes for every common profile.
